Join us for a daytime sci-fi event to honor the passing of local Portland author, Ursula K. Le Guin (10/21/1929 - 1/22/2018). $5 suggested donation To support Anarres Infoshop & Community Space and The Great Basin Society, Inc., DBA Malheur Field Station, a non-profit Le Guin loved: http://malheurfieldstation.com/ Schedule: 3-5pm: Open Mic, Sci-Fi book trade, Potluck 5-7PM: Film Screening of "The Lathe of Heaven" (1980) Open Mic: Bring your favorite passages by Le Guin, your own sci-fi inspired poetry, short stories or excerpts from writings, music to share. 8 minute limit per person. Sci-Fi Book Trade: Bring Sci-Fi books or zines by any author to trade with other sci-fi enthusiast. Folks are also welcome to donate to the Anarres free lending library.
