This is a benefit show for a worker fired from Starbucks for organizing. $5-10 or more suggested donation, however no one turned away for lack of funds.

Awesome bands but who was organizing what?
too bad this is the same night as forgetters
Too bad people who worked for Starbucks decided to organize something.
yeah. it sounds like a good show for a good cause. i'm sure it will be supported. i wish i could go, but i am not missing forgetters. also, there are many other ways i can support those workers besides going to a show. dont take things so personally.
It's cool...I head a bunch of ex-Enron-employee kids are throwing a house-show to benefit global warming up on NE Lombard because they lost their retirement plans...not sure which corporate-employee-Fest I'm planning on attending yet.
For real one liner, you are giving people shit about throwing a benefit show for a worker who was fired from Starbucks for union organizing? Also you just compared a minimum wage service worker to an enron execs child? Do you have any sense of reality? You are a moralistic liberal...go buy expensive organic food, feel superior, and leave the rest of us alone.
dude, what the hell is wrong with you one liner. grow up a lil bit. or maybe you could send me the address of the fired worker and i could mail him five dollars. or the show is in my neighborhood so maybe i'll walk in and pay and then leave and go where i want. where the fuck do you get off trying to make me feel bad for not going to a benefit? uh... i hate to tell ya this, but that strategy is just gonna turn people off.
I might actually go to this show, but attitudes like those posted above are only going to drive people away. Trying to make people feel obligated is fucked up.
No one should feel obligated to do anything, or be driven away from something due to ignorant internet comments. One-liner obviously doesn't know what they're talking about. There can never be too much union organizing, and unfortunately the reality is that good people are forced to settle with bad jobs. Infinite respect to those with the courage to stand up to unfair labor practices- putting their job and livelihood on the line for their co-workers. The worker was fired for taking action against the oppressive nature of the corporation (not perpetuating it), and deserves our support!!
