On July 6th, 2012, Folklorists David Ensminger and Nathan Moore will open a punk flyer exhibit -- a history of dissent on paper culled from immense visual history archives -- focusing on gig flyers representing the politics of punk and hardcore scenes. The exhibit documents and celebrates punk's fiery polemics and support of counter-cultural and humanitarian organizations and movements. The gig will also feature Oregon punk history stretching thirty years, including smaller scenes like Eugene and Salem. The exhibit will remain at the Red and Black Café through the month of July.
