FORR'ANUKKAH: a bawdy birthday bash for z'Bumba Saturday, Dec. 8 9:30 PM Mississippi Pizza Pub, 3552 N. Mississippi (at Fremont,) Portland. 21 and over, please. $7. Witness three epic events converge this Saturday, December 8: z'Bumba's fourth birthday, their last Second Saturday at Mississippi Pizza, and, oddly enough, the first night of Hanukkah 5773. z'Bumba plays Forró (fo-HOh,) roots dance music from Brazil's northeast. Though scholars have yet to find a connection between Jewish music and far-flung Forró, the accordion's bittersweet boogie sounds like Brazilian Kowboy Klezmer. Plus, the hats! In addition to z'Bumba performing from their classic collection of chestnuts and original songs from their EP, no forr'annukah celebration would be complete without candles, cake, frisky folk dances, goofy games, and gregarious guests singing seasonal songs. Spin your partner as well as the the big-ass top -- take your chances in an audience-wide, high-stakes game of adult dreidls. You might not win
