Frank Zappa was a great composer, a brilliant social satirist, and skilled provocateur who joined a boogaloo band from out past East L.A. in the early 1960s and transformed it into the Mothers (of Invention). He made some of the funniest music ever created, and some of the most profound as well. Dr. Demento will trace the arc of his career, with many audio and video examples including excerpts from his interviews with Zappa. NOTE: THIS EVENT IS IN VOLLUM LECTURE HALL, NOT THE CHAPEL.
