Amber Sweeney is a female singer-songwriters from the USA
At a young age Amber Sweeney had the inspiration and creativity to create music. At the age of seven she began to play the guitar for the very first time, and it sparked a spiritual and musical journey that continues today. It wasn’t long until her gifts were seen by others around her in her church community, and she began leading worship, still only seven years old . Her passion for music and worship continued to grow, and at the age of 12 she was already beginning to sing on her worship team for her youth group.
Inspired by her love for Jesus and her ever growing love for all the varieties of musical instruments that He’s made (Amber plays nine instruments at the moment) she began to learn how to play the bass guitar, among other instruments and moved into the adult and youth group worship services. At the age of 15 she was singing and playing bass regularly with the worship team, "No Supastar," and recorded her first worship album titled, "180." One of the songs from the album, “All of My Life" marked another first for Amber, this time in realm of song writing. This was the beginning of another amazing gift God has given her; not only to sing and play songs that speak of beauty and redemption, but now also for writing them as well. This new venture into song writing led her to record her first solo album independently at the age of 18, entitled, "Today Or Yesterday." (2000)
From 2001-2005 Amber was asked by actors Jonathan and Richard Lee Jackson to perform as part of their rock band, Enation, playing bass guitar and singing back-up in the band as well. While with Enation she recorded the Hilasterion Records international release, “Identity Theft” (which was chosen by I-Tunes to be released worldwide) and played numerous live shows, including a West Coast tour to benefit OxFam America for the Tsunami Victims of Southeast Asia.
In 2005 Amber turned her sights back to song writing and leading worship as a solo artist, singing in church services, concert halls, and coffee houses alike. With a voice that is both soulful and delicate, powerful and gentle, and a heart that sings with the surrender only a Beloved can have, everywhere she goes the Presence of God fills the room, and people are getting touched and blessed by her invitation to come into the Lord’s Presence and find Real Love. Amber is a unique and beautiful woman who loves Jesus with all of her heart, and isn’t afraid to give Him back the gifts He’s given her for His glory. It is easy to see why Amber is in such high demand when she ushers people into the Lord’s Presence with such grace and beauty.
Amber is currently enrolled in the Worship Arts Conservitory, a school for worship, and continues to lead worship from her home town of Vancouver, WA and abroad. Create or get your
