32,845 miles, 143 shows, 40 states…and that was just 2008. Concord, California's Go Kart Mozart is an independent rock band known throughout the United States for their hardworking D.I.Y. attitude, high-energy live show, and Violent Femmes-meets-Weezer-esque sing-a-long rock music.
Exploding onto the San Francisco Bay Area music scene in January 2007, Go Kart Mozart has spent the past two years touring, recording and building a name for themselves through local and Internet radio airplay and press write-ups in over ten different states. The band's first full-length album, "Oh Yeah" (August 2007) features thirteen songs (twelve originals and one Bruce Springsteen cover) and was recorded and produced by Go Kart Mozart drummer, Anna Kremenliev. Anna also acts as the band's booking agent, tour manager, web designer, graphic designer, and PR director. Go Kart Mozart is an entirely independent band, in the truest sense of the word.
The two founding members of Go Kart Mozart (Vincent Lay – guitar/vocals and Anna Kremenliev – drums) are veterans to the scene, performing, recording, and touring since their early teenage years with local "Concord Rock City" band Kid Moe and countless other bands in the San Francisco Bay Area. Go Kart Mozart not only performs original material, but has been known to transform into a 50s Rock and Roll cover band under certain circumstances. The band is also known for their production company – Smiling Politely Presents – which has been producing shows in the San Francisco Bay Area since 2002, and their button company – HellaButtons.com – which has pressed tens of thousands of buttons for bands since 2003.
"The music sounds like a day at the beach with your children. Spry and guitar-driven with bright, almost goofy lyrics (for the kids) that have a bit of sardonic edge (for the grown-ups)."
- Luke Baumgarten, Inlander (Spokane, Washington)

- Lindsey Darden, Beatcrave.com
"Though [Go Kart Mozart] lists teeny-bopperish influences like Fall Out Boy and Panic! At The Disco on it's MySpace, it plays smart (if smartass) that's a bit more mature than all that (see the "ooh"- laden rockabilly bop of 'Big Ball of Light' for a fine example)."
- Amy McCullough, Williamette Week (Portland, Oregon)
"With starry-eyed enthusiasiam, Go Kart Mozart has put a tremendous amount of effort into it's disciplined D.I.Y. mentality."
- Eric Shepherd Martin, News & Observer (Raliegh, North Carolina)
"When Go Kart Mozart goes on a road trip, they're not kidding."
- Dawn Baumgartner Vaughan, The Herald-Sun (Durham, North Carolina)
"It's hard to have apprehensions when you're watching a six-and-half-foot tall red-headed guy play with a purple ball and talk to everybody around him with a smile on his face."
- Travis Bill, The Page (Walnut Creek, California) on Vince Lay of Go Kart Mozart
According to gokartmozart.com, they've changed their name to Muncie as of September 29, 2012
