New Liberty are no strangers to the East Coast Struggle. Moving from cold showers to bunk beds in a small apartment, they have continued to make considerable strides throughout the year and a half of the bands existence. After forming in late June 2007, the band rehearsed and played frequently for the remainder of the summer. In November of 07’, they recorded what would become their first full-length album at The Pilot Studios in Boonton, NJ with producer Rob Freeman (Hit the Lights, Cobra Starship, Hidden in Plain View). The band hit the studio once more in April of 08’ to finish a few more tracks and then it was off to the press. On October 24, 2008 at Club Risqué (Philadelphia’s premiere Gentlemen’s Club), New Liberty held their self-titled physical release to a packed house accompanied by the lovely dancers of the Night Club.
Since the release of the album, New Liberty has partnered up with Ryan Beatty and has established a strong social media campaign to gain online presence. With the help of AKT Enterprises and Merchspin, the band has built an inventory of new merchandise, an Online Store, and a new professional Myspace layout. The debut album from New Liberty is available on I-tunes, CD Baby, and Amazon.com. They have purchased a Full-Page ad in Alternative Press’s June Issue in an effort to help push album sales before the start of the summer touring season.
With a constant growing fan-base and loads of positive feedback pouring in daily, New Liberty is quickly gaining popularity both online and on the street. They are setting goals and making strides to hit the road by mid-June to tour in support of their debut album. Music has called for a breath of fresh air and New Liberty has answered with the New Rock n Roll.
