Nates younger brother Gabe Michalski who would often collaborate with him as they explored the world of song writing while learning how to play guitar and piano joined the band along with mutual friend Victor Metelev. Gabo Hernandez was recruited by Gabe and Victor to play drums. They played a few shows as Lisaius before drummer Gabo Hernandez 'xanaared' because he "didn't want to do that type of music". Around early 2004, Gabe Michalski asked classmate William Brommell to play drums and he accepted. Thus the current Other People line-up was finalized. During this time, the band would play hectic shows where the members would switch instrument with each other.
Later they decided to each pick an instrument: William Bromell - drums and suit jackets, Charlie Lesoine - bass/vocals, Gabe Michalski - guitar/lead vocals Nate Michalski - guitar/keyboard/vocals, Victor Metelev - guitar/delay pedals/(general lead guitar "thing" going on/under control) You - dancing.
Other People recorded their debut album Other People from July 2005 to Feb 2006 and it was released in July 2006.
