Band is citing taking inspiration from bands such as The Chameleons, Mew, Joy Division, The Cure and New Order and best pieces off bands of the 80's and the 90's.
In 2005 after the dissolution of The Main Frame, band members Rob Wallace and Steve Krolikowski formed Repeater with basic purpose having a special sound as a band, influenced from pre-90's bands.
They eventually added new members into the fold, including Alex Forsythe and Matt Hanief.
So their first steps was arranging the first live shows, building up their reputation to the present image of their live performances, which is high-energetic concerts with great ambiance.
In 2005 their released their first demo Repeater.

With the passing of the time Repeater already had participated in many shows, actually over 130 shows including SXSW festival. In March 2007 they released their first extended play release Motionless Hour.
In 2008 Repeater released their debut full length album Iron Flowers on Blackwing Records for the UK and Europe and their very own Document Records in America .
Iron Flowers was recorded in one weekend at the Bomb Shelter in Los Angeles, CA. by producer Christopher Fudurich.
In 2010, the band was discovered by renowned producer, Ross Robinson. Robinson produced the band's second EP called Patterns EP .It was released as a joint-release through I AM Recordings and their newly created White Label Collective.
Their latest and sophomore album We Walk from Safety was also produced by Ross Robinson and released in August 2nd, 2011.

(3): Repeater is a newly formed Hello! Project unit consisting of Yaguchi Mari, Umeda Erika, Shimizu Saki, Yajima Maimi, Tsugunaga Momoko, and Murakami Megumi.

Formed by drummer Frederik S. Nielsen, pianist Daniel Garde and guitarist Daniel Jørgensen in late 2005.
In late 2006 Mark Schmidt joined as both a video artist, bass player and on additional synths.
The search for a drummer began after having rehearsed for some time with Singer/Songwriter Jonatan Bengta as lead vocalist, who left the band after passing on his role to Frederik S. Nielsen.
In early 2007 Frej Helstrand Joined the band as drummer and work began on a 6-track EP
