Sam Wegman grew up in Seattle and began playing the guitar in the Eighth grade, at about the age of thirteen. Until the age of sixteen, Sam was a self-taught musician whom learned by listening to his musical inspirations such as Elliott Smith, Jeff Buckley, Neil Young and Radiohead, including their sounds and elements into his own music.
Now an Undergraduate at the University of Portland, Sam has released his debut (Self-signed) album, These Songs Were Made for Jars, in February of 2009, with Mr.

And has recently finished recording his first Single, A Bright Idea #2, off his upcoming album, White Rabbit, with Mr. Riley Geare (touring drummer of Mayer Hawthorne) of Geare Music in St. John's, Oregon as producer and percussionist.
With upcoming shows in the Northwest, United States, and White Rabbit (album) currently being recorded, Sam Wegman is looking for new sounds, inspirations and venues to influence and display his music.
