In 2004, Sugarland signed with Mercury Nashville Records. Between 2004 and 2010 they released four studio albums, one Christmas album, and one live album through the label. These albums produced 15 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, including the number-one singles "Want To," "Settlin'," "All I Want to Do," "Already Gone," and "It Happens." Nettles also appeared as a featured vocalist on Bon Jovi’s 2005–2006 single "Who Says You Can't Go Home," which reached number one on the country charts. Sugarland’s studio albums for Mercury Nashville — "Twice the Speed of Life," "Enjoy the Ride," "Love on the Inside," and "The Incredible Machine" — are all certified platinum or higher by the Recording Industry Association of America.
The duo went on hiatus in 2012, during which Nettles and Bush pursued solo projects. Sugarland officially reunited in 2017 and released the studio album "Bigger" on Big Machine Records.
