At least two bands go by the name of The Scraps:
1) A German band from small town Bad Arolsen that was founded in January '07 by singer and guitarist Thien Anh Le and bass player Michael Patzer. Back then the project was intended to act as a cover band but soon self-written material was more important than covered songs. 1) A German band from small town Bad Arolsen that was founded in January '07 by singer and guitarist Thien Anh Le and bass player Michael Patzer. Back then the project was intended to act as a cover band but soon self-written material was more important than covered songs. Since Le and Patzer were lacking of a talented drummer, Steffen Rummel was asked to join and therewith complete the band. Le knew Rummel from another band (a big band with name of 'Smoke Revival Orchestra'). The very first song the trio jammed along in their first rehearsal was 'Get Away'. Impressed by the fact of how good they harmonized they decided to keep playing music together. Not soon after they played their first payed gig in front of a 100- crowd. Due to their studies and other occupations they scattered by now, yet all three of them are willing to play together again when there is the chance to.
2) A Bloomington, IN, USA punk band formed in early 2007. A fire destroyed all their equipment shortly thereafter and Chama's hand was smashed in a machine press shortly after that. Ever perserverant and tenacious, they continue(d) to write socially conscious punk rock. The Scraps have contributed music to the local Bloomington Roller Derby league and released their first album "The Sacred Right of Property" in 2008. Mike Emmett, Chama Henry and Chris Abert have performed throughout southern Indiana and hope to record another collection of songs in the future.
