They quickly bonded over the song Head Over Heels by Tears For Fears and discovered a mutual appreciation for 80's music. In early 2010, they broke away from the band, continuing along their creative path, exploring 80's and 90's-inspired sounds with a modern twist and a DIY approach to writing, production and promotion. With their debut single/EP, Van Go Lion offer us a peek into the variation and depth they bring to the table as both songwriters and musicians. While playful at the core, their music goes far beyond that of simplistic dance tracks. Pop music can be fun, but it can have substance. Just because it's pop doesn't mean it's throwaway, says Amy.
