There are five bands with the name Cove: 1) Cove is a duo made up of Colm Connolly and Philly Ryan, both originally from Tipperary, Ireland. Having collaborated on various music projects the two decided to get together to compose an alternative/electro masterpiece. They have several releases through Johnson Family Records, Unlabel, Noisestar and Toy Soldier Records labels as well as numerous contributions to a variety of UK and European compilation albums. They have also performed radio sessions for Radio 1s John Peel (R.I.P) and Resonance FMs Glass Shrimp. Originally formed in 1994 as an acoustic folk trio, the band has since undergone several personnel changes and become completely electric, setting for itself the mandate of creating and performing entertaining, lively music that is intelligent yet also accessible.
