1) Necronomicon were formed in 1971 in Aachen, the Western part of Germany near the Belgium and Netherlands border.
With an album title (Tips zum Selbtsmord) that means "How to Commit Suicide," Necronomicon's one album, from 1972, featured bleak progressive garage rock with long instrumental passages. With wailing acid guitar solos, dark organ swirls, and angst-ridden singing in German, Necronomicon has created a dark and powerful vision that blends psychedelic and progressive music with a proto-punk garage band sensibility. They throw in some operatic vocals on several of the tracks; these are most effective in a couple places on "Requiem der Natur" to make the music sound almost like the Slovenian band Laibach. The same piece also offers an industrial droning beginning, some great walking bass soloing, bass and keyboard dueling, and a couple of melancholic folksy interludes. The title track combines proto-punk rhythmic energy with angry guitars and new wave-ish organ tones. The sound quality of this album is a bit rough, but that adds to the charm of the raw energy and despair of this underground Krautrock classic.

2) Necronomicon is a German thrash metal band who formed in Lörrach, 1983. They were formed with Volker "Freddy" Fredrich -(Vocals/Guitar), Lars "Lala" Honeck on Bass and Axel Strickstrock (Drums). They released a demo in 1985 called "Total Rejection" which set the scene for their career. The demo featured a style of Teutonic thrash metal of the day, in light of Destruction, with pounding drums, catchy riffs and medium to high aggressive vocals.
Their second demo was released soon after in 1985 called "Blind Destruction" which set a deal up for them with Gama Records. This lead to their self-titled debut album which was produced well enough and got its deserved welcome into the reviews. This quickly lead to another album "Apocalyptic Nightmare" which again marked the teutonic thrash sound well and truly into your brain. Soon after, in 1988, their third and final album with Gama Records was released called "Escalation" and it seemed it was going well for the band.
However, in 1988 Honeck (Bass) left the band and was replaced by former roadie Michael "Mörtsch" Mörgelin and the band started to rehearse and write new material for there demo in 1992. But, Mörtsch decided to leave due to personal problems and Bernhard "Erna" Matt was shipped in to record their fourth album "Screams" in 1994 via D & S Records. This album was not as well manufactured as their first three by Gama Records and this lead to a freeze in activity for exposure for the band.
Erna left the band later and was replaced by Alexander Heil which was quickly booted out and replaced by Christian Engler (Destruction). But Englar left before any recordings happened in 1998. They released a couple of demos with this line-up with "...Possessed Again in 2000 and "Live im Sternen" when guitarist Andi joined to cover more range in the riffing department.
The band decided then to have a bassist and called in Mac Meder who recorded with the rest of band for their come back album "Construction of Evil" in 2004. This was released by Remedy Records which was produced and exposed well by the label. The band felt that this was there greatest achievement through there career and the fans thought well of the new release. However, this lead to nothing and bassist Meder left for Andre who quickly disappeared for Jürgen "Jogi" Weltin. Weltin then was replaced by now bassist Alexander Heil.
The band have recently released their sixth album called "Revenge of the Beast" in 2008 via Xtreem Music. The label released a limited double-cd to mark the band's 25th anniversary on the 15th December 2008.
3) Necronomicon is a blackened death metal band from Canada. They formed in 1991 in Montreal, Canada. With a few years' down the line eventually getting signed to Unique leader in 1999 and finally releasing their long awaited full-length debut "Pharaoh Of Gods" which lyrical and music basis is around mythology in ancient times. Most recently they have alot of other side projects on and their last follow up album in 2003 "The Sacred Medicines". They came back in 2009, and released an album in 2010 entitled "The Return of the Witch"
4) Necronomicon from Brazil is a psychedelic doom metal band. They don't go in for the deep, deep and dark tones of most doom bands, but instead opt for a fuzzed-out stoner rock tone, but play very, very doom-y riffs. The combination works well. The band utilizes different effects like backwards guitar and phazing and some different instrumentation such as organ and animoog synth to strengthen the atmosphere built with their terrific and danger-infested Sabbathian riffs. With their penchant for 1960s Bay Area psychedelic jam freak outs they very nearly definitively answer the question: "what would Black Sabbath have sounded like had they started out in San Francisco in 1966?"
5) Necronomicon is a death Metal band from Japan. Whom have released their debut full-length in 2005 called "II : Born Again" and are currently in the studios recording another. They have also done a split with Sonic Agitation, Vacuum , Vio System Divide ,Evylock, Sadistic Eyes and Threat called 'The Red Hot Burning Hell Vol.3' in 2006.
6) Necronomicon was an 80s synth-pop-wave/avantgarde band from the Netherlands. One of the first Dutch bands from the Ultra movement that started making electronic dance music was Necronomicon. Besides their activities as musicians, they also started Fetisj; a short-lived DIY cassette-label in the early 1980s.
