Pears
At only 8 months old, PEARS (all caps, no "the") is New Orleans' newest punk band, and have come from deep within the voodoo juju gris gris swamps of the French Quarter to give you fleas/scabies/bedbugs. Their mixture of hardcore riffs, pop-punk melodies, and sludgy breaks creates a sound that belongs to them, only them, shut up.     Where are the Band Bios? - Bios are having issues!

    Hey everybody!Last.fm is where we currently get the band bios and it appears that their servers have been going through some funky patches lately.A few weeks back, we noticed that some band pages were taking something on order of a full minute or two for loading.. SUCKASS!We responding with "ohfuck, we gotta do something about that" so we created a new data access call that will abort after 2 seconds of no response.. If that happens, it means that you will see a band page with NO bio.. The bios might come back intermittently or they might be out for a while... it's all up to last.fm at the moment.We figured that it was more important for you guys to be able to surf through bands links, or whatevs you're doing, and find the shows quickly - rather than waiting for who knows how long for the bios to load.(for the nerds: i realize there should be a note on the page saying that a timeout happened and those bios are temp unavailable, but our shitty old code doesn't easily allow for that right now.

    pc-pdx @J - This site is alive as people want it to be since it's a WIKI that anybody can post to. ¤ ¤ The pandemic crushed everything in March 2020. I used to spend a few dozen hours per week (!) tracking shows and keeping the info updated but The Guide now has to rely on awesome homies like Schwartz/No Fun/ ++YOU++ to make use of the WIKI functionality to put the word out here. ¤ D.I.T. :: Do It Together!!
