4. Tony Barber joined the Buzzcocks in 1993, becoming their bass player. He had a side project throughout, called Airport, under which moniker he made an album, Lift Off With Airport, released on Alan McGee's Poptones label in 2001. Band members were: Tony B (vocals), Sue Culture (synthesizer), Billy Beethoven (guitar) and Warren Terror (drums).
5. Cape Breton's Aaron Corbett formed Airport sometime around 2005 and they play many of Aaron's songs from when he was a solo artist. Airport previously had Donnie 'CoolBreeze' Calabrese on upright bass, but was replaced with Shane O'Handley and his electric bass after Calabrese left the C.B. Music scene. O'Handley also replaced Calabrese's spot in the Tom Fun Orchestra). Band members were: Handsome Aaron Airport (vocals, guitar), Jordan Bonairport (guitar), 'The Runway' Donnie Coolbreeze (bass), Plane Shane O'Airport (bass), 'Takeoff' Thomas Allen (drums).
6. A married couple from The Netherlands, Frank and Lies Witte,released one single as a duo under the name Airport: 'Pride of Man' b/w 'Steamline', released by Polydor in 1970. Both songs were covers: 'Pride of Man' was written by Hamilton Camp and had been recorded by Quicksilver Messenger Service and Gordon Lightfoot. 'Steamline' was a John Mayall original. Frank Witte later joined the band Bonfire.
7. There was another Airport from The Netherlands, not to be confused with the one above. Airport was also a Dutch funk / disco band that released one single in 1977: 'Every Face Tells a Story' b/w 'I'm a Loser', released on CNR Records.
