In the wide pool of bands called 'Butt' this biography refers to the assumedly original band. Originally formed in 1991 in Bay Area California, Butt was comprised of Marc (on Bass / Vocals) and Michael (on Guitar / Vocals).
Their first album 'Butt: Uhhhhh....' was recorded on a modified Casio boombox which allowed multi-track recording on standard cassette tapes. The band recorded their first album which consisted of 3 tracks, Touch My Penis, Papercut, and Silicone implanted Toenails.

In the wide pool of bands called 'Butt' this biography refers to the assumedly original band. Originally formed in 1991 in Bay Area California, Butt was comprised of Marc (on Bass / Vocals) and Michael (on Guitar / Vocals).
Their first album 'Butt: Uhhhhh....' was recorded on a modified Casio boombox which allowed multi-track recording on standard cassette tapes. The band recorded their first album which consisted of 3 tracks, Touch My Penis, Papercut, and Silicone implanted Toenails. Each was an array of feedback, bass lines, and high pitched screaming vocals alternating between the members.
Quickly the underground distribute demo aligned the band to a genre called 'noise' which was welcome, but the band felt not appropriate. Their next set of singles incorporated lyrics, with an almost verse chorus verse layout. The band dabbled in R&B Accapella, doom metal, death metal, acoustic folk, and punk rock. After a 15 year hiatus the band is still recording, even though living on separate continents, and are planning to release a 99 song holiday album in early 2012, along with 3 more albums.
