1) Renaud Letang steps into the spotlight as DRIFT with At the Party, a kaleidoscopic debut that draws on decades spent behind the mixing desk with the likes of Feist, Chilly Gonzales, Saul Williams, and Philippe Katerine. Co-produced with Chilly Gonzales and recorded at the legendary Studios Ferber, the album captures a lifetime of musical friendships and sonic curiosity.
Blurring the lines between sunny disco pop, jazz, dreamlike balladry and futuristic hip-hop, At the Party is a vibrant, collaborative project starring an eclectic cast that also includes Connan Mockasin, Benny Sings, Jamie Lidell, Infinite Bisous, Jerry Paper, Chuuwee, and Vladimir Cosma. Each guest brings their unique voice to Letang’s self-described “drift music” — songs composed quietly over the years, now brought to life with playful finesse and deep emotional range.
With its effortless charm, rich arrangements and cast of genre-defying talents, At the Party is a joyous, groove-driven invitation to Letang’s world — a long-awaited debut from one of French music’s most influential behind-the-scenes figures.
