1. Hurt (sometimes typeset as HURT) is a rock band formed in 2000 in Virginia, and later located in St. Louis, Missouri, United States. The band has released four major label albums under three different label companies. The group consisted of lead singer J. Loren Wince, guitarist Michael Roberts, bassist Rek Mohr, and drummer Victor Ribas. After the release of their final album, The Crux, J Loren fell severely ill and the band went on an indefinite hiatus.
The band first released the independent albums Hurt in 2000 and The Consumation in 2003. Many of the songs from these albums found their way onto their first two major label releases, and The Consumation was remastered as The Re-Consumation in 2008.
The band achieved critical (though not commercial) success with their major-label debut album, Vol. 1, released on March 21, 2006. Their singles "Rapture" and "Falls Apart" gained minor radio airplay on rock stations throughout the United States. Their second album was the critically acclaimed Vol. II, released on September 25, 2007. The two albums, originally intended to be released as a double album, were split into two separate releases due to Capitol Records not believing a double album would be worth the expenses.
HURT released their fifth studio album, Goodbye to the Machine, on April 7, 2009. Lead single "Wars" became the band's largest commercial success to date. However, during production of the album, Capitol Records booted the band from their label. Much of the album reflects the bands disdain towards major label companies.
On May 1, 2012, the band's final album, The Crux was released on Carved Records, featuring the single "How We End Up Alone."
2. Hurt formed in Wrocław, Poland
3. Hurt from Indonesia formed in 2021. To date, one album and a 6-way split have been released.
4. Industrial rock band from Sacramento, CA. They formed in late 1994. Their name is stylized as |h|u|r|t| on their album covers, of which they have released three, along with three EPs.
