Mona was born on 8 April 2004 in Kyustendil, Bulgaria. She has shown an interest in music since an early age, and is particularly fond of combining folklore motifs with contemporary pop elements.
Mona began her musical career at the age of 16. Her music includes a folkloric vocal style typical of the Balkan region and Bulgarian cultural heritage. Mona writes her own music and lyrics and integrates folklore elements into her songs.
Mona received the Golden Buzzer in season 8 of Bulgaria's Got Talent, awarded by actress Katerina Evro, and performed in the grand final. In 2025, she also participated in the WiWi Jam concert in Basel during Eurovision week. Her voice can be heard in the international hit film Avatar: The Way of Water and in the video game Mortal Kombat. She is a recipient of a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture in Bulgaria and has received support as a scholarship holder of the Dimitar Berbatov Foundation. In addition, Mona is part of Vanya Moneva’s choir and is the first and youngest member in the history of the choir to be accepted at the age of 15. In 2025, she was awarded the “Woman of the Year” award in the “Music” category by Grazia magazine. On the occasion of her nomination, she launched a campaign in which she selected and presented five young Bulgarian designers in a special artistic project prepared with The Trackers.
Mona has been an avid Eurovision fan since childhood, thanks to her parents, who follow the contest every year. In 2024, she attended Eurovision live in Malmö, Sweden, with an independent Bulgarian delegation - an experience that greatly inspired her and marked the beginning of the song "Zhiva", marking a new stage in her career. In 2025, she watched the contest live again in Basel, Switzerland, where she was also invited as a special guest of WiWi Jam during Eurovision Week, alongside other Eurovision artists. On 30 December 2025, BNT announced that Mona was among the 15 selected artists who will participate in the national selection for Eurovision in January 2026. The winner will represent Bulgaria at Eurovision 2026 in Vienna, Austria.

Like a quiet moment listening through headphones, Mona's luscious unpretentiousness draws the ear inward, beckoning an audience to relax and just listen.
