Although still in their somewhat young and formative years, the catchy hooks reminiscent of The Strokes, with the Punk rock vibes of The Buzzcocks and The Replacements, have this indie rock trio off to a damn good start. Concieved in late 2008 in Bend, before they were old enough to order a cold one, the boys found themselves with a solid following at local bars. After releasing an impressive EP, Good Luck and Medicine, they relocated to the greater Portland area in search of a prominent scene and more shows. Over the Summer, they slapped us in the face with their brand of smashed-up, bluesy punk rock on the five song Hot Doom EP. Along with their reputation for pulsating live shows, songs like the straightforward "Riot Right Now" and the frenetic "Danger? Danger!" have certainly helped catapult The Autonomics in the right direction.
