Everything that comes from The Hoons distinctively sounds like The Hoons. Think Pixies, but in a modern rock format. Their songs range from ambient to angular, aggressive to soothing, but above all, always catchy. ​The songwriting and honest, earnest vocals are the first to grab your attention. The layers of superb musicianship begin to unfold upon repeat listening and you begin to understand why The Hoons are a truly unique and marketable band. 2>The Hoons are a rock/pop/dance, country crossover band. They started out making music in 2005 after meeting at a pigeon fanciers club in Coventry. It was during an impulsive vocal jam session in the club toilet that these boys realised, if they put their heads together, great things would surely come. In the beginning the band consisted of, Steve Thompson on bass, drums, banjo and falseto vocals. Noelynoel on kazoo, washboard, litter tray and trumpet. This line up has remained at the core of The Hoons till present day. Many world class session musicians have "sat in" at Hoons sessions, these include the legendary Photo/fish man Steve Tillbury, banjo string, trouble maker Courtney Hell and the angelic vocal talents of motorcyle safety / cannoing expert Tom (surname unknown).
